It helps to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and Time Traveler's version: tap the gear, then the info button, and look under What's New.
The basics
- Turn any clock to move time, and every other clock follows. The clock you turn wears the orange ring.
- Tap a clock to make it active. Double-tap to return to now. Triple-tap a city to change or remove it.
- LOCAL is your iPhone's own time zone, with UTC beside it. These two are always shown.
- The gear opens Settings: left- or right-handed, 24-hour time and dial, minute markers, how far each turn moves time, and your cities.
- The arrows across from the gear open the converters. Turn either dial and the other follows, and double-tap a dial to start over. Triple-tap a currency to choose another, or a weight or speed dial to change its unit: ounces, grams, and stones, or knots and meters per second.
Time Traveler Plus
Time Traveler is free with LOCAL, UTC, one city, and the temperature converter. Time Traveler Plus, a one-time in-app purchase, adds up to six cities and the currency, speed, and weight converters.
- New iPhone, or reinstalled the app? Open the converters, tap a locked dial, and tap Restore Purchase. Use the Apple Account you bought it with.
- Family Sharing: members of your Family Sharing group get Time Traveler Plus too.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Common questions
LOCAL shows the wrong time.
LOCAL follows your iPhone's time zone. In the Settings app, go to General, then Date & Time, and turn on Set Automatically. If a clock shows a small return arrow, time has been turned: double-tap that clock to come back to now.
Do I need the internet?
No. The clocks, the sky, and the temperature, speed, and weight converters work fully offline. Only the currency converter goes online, to get new exchange rates about once a day. Offline it uses the last rates it has, and the date under each amount shows how old they are.
My city isn't in the list.
Time Traveler offers the same 582 cities as Apple's Clock app. Choose a nearby city in the same time zone; it shows the same time.
Why doesn't the sky match the view from my window?
The sky is a map of the whole night sky, like a planisphere, for a city in your time zone. Time Traveler never asks for your location, so it shows the sky for that city rather than your exact spot, and it doesn't turn with your iPhone.
